Nov 14 Auction Item Preview: An excellent original watercolor of a design for an Art Nouveau period stained glass window. It features a stylized version of a Madonna and Child set in a landscape against a tree. It has a pointed arch top museum mat and modern frame. Possibly by noted Rhode Island artist and stained glass designer John LeFarge. I’ve found similar window designs and that iris flowers were a recurring theme for LeFarge.
