This is the ending of the world heavyweight championship boxing title fight held in 1964 between then champ Sonny Liston and challenger Cassius Clay. Liston was considered the most dangerous heavyweight champ ever and a huge favorite against an unproven Clay. Clay used his speed and footwork to confuse and frustrate Liston. Clay dominated round 6 and Liston’s corner called in the doctor and stopped the fight before the beginning of round 7. This moment is when Clay realizes that he has become the new heighvyweight champion.
